For Firenze, a triumph on the road against Bergamo won't be enough to seal the qualification, but it will, at the very least, keep them ahead of Busto for the 13th and decisive leg next week - as long as they win 3-0 or 3-1.
In the first round of the regular season, despite playing on the road, Bergamo dominated their opponents to a straight-set victory. Historically, however, Firenze have the edge, with five wins and four losses.
Trying to pass one of the two before the end of the regular season, Busto will watch their match on Sunday with great attention after facing third-placed Numia Vero Volley Milano on Saturday, at 20:30 (19:30 UTC). If they manage to upset their opponents on the road, they have a good chance of ending the week inside the qualification zone for the playoffs.
Still keeping chances of qualifying, tenth-placed Omag-Mt San Giovanni In Marignano and 11th-placed CBF Balducci HR Macerata both play on the road on Sunday, at 17:00 (16:00 TUC). San Giovanni, which have 23 points, face fifth-placed Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri '76, while Macerata, which have 21, play against second-placed Savino Del Bene Scandicci.
