The only team yet to win a match in the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation league, the Columbus Fury will try to start turning their season around over the next few days, during the fourth week of action in the American league.

With two road matches set to be played over the weekend, the first of which against defending champions Omaha Supernovas on Friday, at 19:00 local time (1:00 GMT, Saturday), the Fury will have two chances to get their first victory.

The two teams have already met this season, last Friday, in Columbus, when the Supernovas triumphed in straight sets. But, after that match, the Fury pushed the Grand Rapids Rise to five sets in what was arguably their best performance in the season.

The team from Columbus has, in fact, gotten very close to claiming their first victory in 2025 as, besides the match against the Rise, they also went to five sets against the Atlanta Vibe and league leaders Indy Ignite, who they will play on Sunday, at 18:00 local time (23:00 GMT).

Outside hitter Kaylee Cox has been a bright spot in the Fury’s campaign this season. Playing in her first season in the Pro Volleyball Federation, the 22-year-old leads the team in points with 70 and ranks fifth in the entire league in blocks, with 12.

The Supernovas enter Friday’s match in fourth place with three wins and two losses. After meeting the Fury for the second time in a week, they will make the trip south to face the Orlando Valkyries in Florida on Sunday, at 14:00 local time (19:00 GMT).

Outside hitter Brooke Nuneviller is on fire for the Supernovas this season, ranking third among the league’s top scorers with 92 points. Other standout for the defending champions are middle blocker Kaitlyn Hord, who leads the league in blocks (19), and Puerto Rican national team setter Natalia Valentín-Anderson, third in assists (200) and digs (81).

First matches on Thursday

The fourth week of the season starts on Thursday, with two matches – the Rise face the Valkyries at 19:00 local time (00:00 GMT, Friday) and the San Diego Mojo meet the Vibe at 19:05 local time (3:05 GMT, Friday). On Friday, besides the duel between the Supernovas and the Fury, the Vegas Thrill will host the Ignite at 19:00 local time (3:00 GMT, Saturday).

Sunday will be a busy day, with four matches and all eight teams in action. The Rise will play at home against the Mojo at 15:00 local time (21:00 GMT) and the Thrill will host the Vibe at 17:00 local time (1:00 GMT, Monday).
