Seeded second in the women’s main draw, Germany’s Elea Beutel & Paula Schurholz won five of their six games in Bridlington, enough for the team’s first Beach Pro Tour gold and overall second (consecutive) medal, after the Wuhan Futures bronze they earned at their previous appearance. In the semifinals, Beutel & Schurholz took a 2-0 (21-17, 21-10) win over ninth-seeded Norwegian qualifiers Sofia Mol & Cathrine Hjeltnes, and in the final, they achieved a 2-0 (21-14, 21-16) victory over third-seeded Romane Sobezalz & Anouk Dupin of France.

It was the first appearance for Dupin and 19-year-old Sobezalz together on the Beach Pro Tour. They reached the Bridlington final undefeated. In an all-French semifinal, they produced a 2-0 (21-15, 21-18) win over eighth-seeded Saofe Duval & Marilu Pally.

Duval & Pally bounced back from their only loss in England with a 2-0 (23-21, 21-9) victory over Mol & Hjeltnes in the third-place match to pick up the pair’s second Beach Pro Tour bronze.

After the Sanya Futures bronze in March and the Krakow Futures silver earlier this month, Jakub Krzeminski & Aleksander Czachorowski now have a full set of Beach Pro Tour medals together. Seeded second in the Bridlington men’s main draw, they cruised victorious through five matches to claim the gold. The only set the Poles lost along the way was first set of their 2-1 (11-21, 21-11, 15-10) semifinal against fifth-seeded Canadians Luke de Greeff & Tynan Gannett.

In an all-English semifinal, seventh-seeded Juan Bello & Niko Gleed produced a 2-0 (21-10, 21-18) upset of bracket leaders Frederick Bialokoz & Issa Batrane to secure their first Beach Pro Tour podium together.

The gold medal showdown went 2-0 (21-19, 21-14) the way of Krzeminski & Czachorowski, while Bialokoz & Batrane pleased the home fans with a second medal for England after a 2-0 (21-16, 22-20) sweep of the third-place match against De Greeff & Gannett. The Bridlington bronze was Bialokoz & Batrane’s seventh Beach Pro Tour medal, and first in 2026.

28 women’s and 27 men’s duos representing 23 different federations took part in the Bridlington Futures.

The next Futures stops on the Beach Pro Tour will be held in Rzeszow, Poland and in Messina, Italy from July 2 to 5.
